Thursday, August 29, 2019 – Grads Connect (GX) kicks off Discover McGill day for new graduate students with social networking and team-building activities to connect graduate students and show off the suite of resources at their disposal. Come to meet other incoming graduate students, have fun, and get to know the downtown campus!


Thursday, August 29, 2019 – This university orientation will provide you with information and introductions that will help ensure you have a strong start to your graduate career at McGill. Representatives from each of the Students Services will be available for you to meet, to provide you with answers to your questions. Come and learn how you are supported.

DISCOVER McGILL: Academic Expectations for Grad Students

Monday, August 26 – Wednesday, August 28, 2019 – These workshops are geared toward students new to graduate studies and aim to provide an introduction to many of the services here at McGill, and how to navigate and best use these services during your studies. A special series of workshops on applying for funding is also offered.

Post-Grad Student Society (PGSS) Orientation

Your Post-Graduate Students’ Society (PGSS) plans a number of social and informative events for new grad students and postdocs. These events are great opportunities to network and meet new friends, explore Montreal, and inform yourself about resources available to you.
